Pool Tables and Pawnshop? An odd mix? Not really.
Being in the coin operated billiard business for 20 years, we were very customer and service oriented, but lacked retail experience. While looking for a retail outlet we stumbled on to the pawnshop idea. We acquired the 19th Hole Pawnshop in 1998. We chose them because they were also a very customer oriented business with the retail experience we needed, plus 20 years of excellent reputation in the community and in one location. The mix was perfect. The route operation gives us an almost unlimited supply of used equipment : Pool tables, Jukeboxes, Pinball Machines, Cranes, Air Hockey Tables, Video Games, Bowlers, Shuffleboards, Changers, as well as 20 years worth of parts and accessories. It also allows us to service what we sell, we have our own electronic technicians and pool table technicians on staff.
